The Rail Technical Strategy (RTS) needs updating as the industry and technology landscapes change. You have an opportunity to influence It is your turn to influence ‘what’s next’…

The RTS Review Team – a group consisting of representatives from RSSB, Network Rail and UKRRIN – has taken the lead to refresh the industry’s strategy in 2019.
The new approach focuses on five key objectives: Automation of train operations; Optimised energy systems; More value from data; Guaranteed asset health and availability; Connected rail and new mobility.

The 2012 RTS provided a framework for research and development investment to create, test and deploy new technologies which would support the ‘railway of the future’. In 2016 the RTS Capability Delivery Plan was released and set out key capabilities required to deliver the vision of the RTS. …so what’s next?
