Rail Vehicles and Enhancements is the only single-theme event aimed at the engineering of rail vehicles for refurbishment, maintenance and enhancements. The show is now entering its seventh successive and successful year.
Now under the ownership of Modern Railways magazine, the expo and conference will be even larger than last year’s event and will be held at the Derby Arena on Thursday 3rd October 2019 between 10.00am and 4.00pm.
Visitors to RVE 2018 benefited from a full day of events, yet Modern Railways RVE 2019 promises to be bigger, better and broader with expanded exhibition and conference, where visitors can hear from leading figures in the rail industry. We are pleased to announce that the conference will again be chaired by Ian Walmsley, columnist for Modern Railways and the timetable of speakers is once again being orchestrated by James Abbott, editor of Modern Railways and the driving force behind the Fourth Friday Club – the industry’s leading awards and conferencing brand. The speakers at this show include Professor Simon Iwnicki, lead of the UKRRIN Centre of Excellence in Rolling Stock (CERS) and Director of the Institute for Rail Research (IRR) at Huddersfield University.
Modern Railways RVE 2019 will be filled with exhibitors at the cutting edge of technology from around the world, showcasing real time passenger counting, passenger information systems, cab and saloon cooling, traction and passenger information equipment. Other innovations on show will include LED lighting, entertainment and advertising systems, interior and product designers, energy saving solutions and driver advisory equipment.
