RSSB will be hosting the Using Data to Inform Better Low Adhesion Management dissemination events on 27 March in Sheffield and 3rd April in Cardiff. The events will be duplicated across the two days and will provide the opportunity to share and discuss the cross-industry research & innovation activities RSSB is undertaking as part of the ADHERE programme.
Speakers will disseminate the findings of two projects undertaken on the Cross-City line, Birmingham, which investigated driver behaviour in different adhesion conditions (T1159) and changes in train braking performance due to railhead treatments (COF-DART) in the real-world operational environment.
Each day will be an engaging mix of presentations and interactive breakout sessions with a key focus on the areas of:
•driving variability in low adhesion conditions and key influencing factors
•effectiveness and longevity of railhead treatments to combat low adhesion
•key variable factors in railhead treatment effects including environmental conditions and driving styles
There will also be the opportunity for attendees to share and learn from experiences, gain knowledge and insights and explore different ideas on how to implement recommendations and best practice in time for autumn 2019.
Please note the registration for the Sheffield event is now closed, for further information please contact email@example.com.
