Demo of Train Fluid Servicing Robot – 28 March – Brunel University

Brunel University, in partnership with TBG Solutions and funded by DfT/InnovateUK, have built a lab robot demonstrator for servicing the fluids (CET, wheel sand, fuel etc.) on passenger rail vehicles in order to meet increased passenger demands forecast for the rail industry. This project was initiated by an RSSB-funded technical and economic feasibility study.

The demo will be an opportunity to showcase the robot to the rail industry and also an opportunity to discuss how to enable the building of an industrial scale robot for a maintenance facility in 2020.
