UKRRIN Covid-19 Update

25th March 2020

On 16 March, the Prime Minister, Chief Medical Officer and Chief Scientific Officer held a press conference to address the COVID-19 pandemic. The Prime Minister asked for people to work from home, avoid unnecessary travel and social gatherings, especially in the London area.

This was reinforced in his statement on 23 March which introduced stricter restrictions on travel and gatherings and strongly encouraged everybody to stay at home.

The UKRRIN team is following the Government guidelines for Covid-19 and are reviewing our planned events and activities for the foreseeable future.

As a cross-organisational team, we already work remotely using collaborative technology to communicate and as part of the day to day running of the network. We will continue to do so over the coming period and have already implemented plans for any face to face meetings to be held using digital platforms.

The team can be contacted via telephone, email, Twitter and the UKRRIN website, should you have any queries or want to find out about our latest activities.

We wish all our stakeholders the best and ask that you #StayHome where feasibly possible.
